I hit 31 y/o yesterday. Happy? Na ja…Birthdays nowadays don’t impress me that much compare to my teenager birthdays
My hubby took me for candle light dinner last night, and in the afternoon before, I bake my own birthday cake. This is the first cake I bake by myself! Yay! Browse the easiest recipe I could ever find and vielen dank for Mindy Jordan’s Strawberry Brownie! Just like she said, the taste of strawberry and chocolate is really sensational!
Ingredients:
Brownie:
- 2 cups fresh strawberry
- 200 gr dark baking chocolate, melted
- 1egg
- salt to taste
- 1 cup butter/ margarine, melted
- 1 tea spoon vanilla
- 1 ½ cup flour
- Sugar if you like
- 9 inch round cake pan
Glaze:
- 250 gr chocolate
- 400 gr whipping cream
Direction:
- Heat oven 175° C
- Dice a half of strawberry into small squares (original recipe, blend)
- Mix melted margarine, melted chocolate, vanilla, sugar, diced strawberry and egg with mixer
- Slowly add the flour and stir with spatula
- Pour the dough to the pan and bake it for 30-40 minutes. Use stay stick to check. If the dough not sticky, means it’s ready to lift it. Set aside until not hot anymore, don’t open it from the pan
Glaze:
- melt the chocolate
- add whipping cream
- Pour over the cake and leave it until frozen
- When it’s half frozen you can decorate it with the rest of strawberry
