
A refreshing soup. For my style, I add a load of lime leaves and peppers. And then eat it with hot rice. Aah..perfect!
Ingredients:
- 300 gr lamb meat
- 50gr cabbage, sliced in stripe
- Tomato, diced
- 2 lemongrasses, chopped
- 4 kaffir lemon leaves, sliced in thin stripe
- 6 Shallots, thiny sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, thiny sliced
- 1 tea spoon turmeric powder
- 2 tbs sweet soy sauce
- 1 tbs salty soy sauce
- 3 glass lamb consomme
– 3 tea spoons Sambal Oelek chillipaste
- Salt and Peppers
- 4 tbs oil
- Fried shallots for pouring (optional)
Direction:
1. Cook lamb a few minutes only to get the comsomme and then diced
2. Heat oil, saute shallots and garlic. Add chillipaste, lemongrass, meat, turmeric, salt and peppers
3. Add 3 glass of consomme, lime leaves and both soy sauces until meat tender
4. At the end, add cabbage and tomato
5. Pour fried shallots over when serve it

Anyways, this dish looks good. But I’m not a big lamb fan. Did you try the recipe with other meat ?

I don’t cook much lamb as well…But this one, combine with lamb satay is one of Indonesian favorite foods. I guess you can change the meat, but I didn’t try yet. Maybe with beef cos don’t think chicken will be fit.
